Birmingham is a city filled with promises. All the museums you can see, the bullring (which is a shopping complex the size of 26 football pitches), Cadbury’s World, and the Chinese quarter show you that this city is full of interesting things. You just have to know where to look. The NEC is filled with great shows, music, comedy, and much, much more. The NIA, just as famous is quite close too.The cuisine everywhere is fabulous, and you can get nearly every food under the sun there, as Birmingham is multicultural. The nightlife is amazing, and be sure to check out the Island Bar. The winner of the best Cocktail Bar and the Best Bar award at the Birmingham bar awards 2007. With a rock and roll theme, and a great drinks menu, this is a must see place. A venue for every occasion is Après. The red colour scheme is very Scandinavian, and the overall effect is very like a ski lodge. If that is not at all to your taste, then why not try Oceana. This club has themed rooms, such as the Reykjavik Icehouse, or the New York Disco rooms. Now, it’s your big day, and you’re looking for somewhere to hold it. Why not try Hampton Manor? There is a country house theme, and despite the seclusion of the manor, it is still easily accessible. Wedding photographer Damien Lovegrove described it as a ‘World Class landmark hotel’. If this is not to your tastes, then try Austin court. Situated in Brindley Place, it lies on the banks of the canal district, and does all inclusive packages. The catering partners can do seasonal dishes to your specifications, and the actual space for the wedding can be adjusted to suit your ideas.
